7. Processing of personal data carried out by the Controller in connection with the cookies used and log files

 

• Scope of data subjects: all users visiting the website, irrespective of whether they use the services available on the website.
• Legal basis for processing: in respect of processing that is technically indispensable for the provision of the service, Section 13/A (3) of Act CVIII of 2001 on certain issues relating to electronic commerce services and information society services (hereinafter: the “E-Commerce Act”) authorises the Controller to process data necessary for the proper operation of the website. Accordingly, the legal basis for processing such data is the Controller’s legitimate interest pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.

On this legal basis, we process only data that are necessary for the user-friendly operation of the website, and only for as long as necessary for that purpose. These are technical data (e.g. IP address, browser type used and screen resolution) necessary for the proper display of the website pages and for the proper and convenient use of its functions by you. 1. a) Necessary and functional processing (“Essential” and “Functional” categories in the pop-up window)

Identification of the device used for your browsing and retention of identification data – for the duration of browsing – on the basis of the IP address. This makes browsing smoother, as otherwise you would have to identify yourself on each page visited or repeat processes.

 

1. b) Processing relating to browsing habits (visitor analytics)

 

The data required for the purposes below are recorded by us anonymously and cannot be linked by us to an individual. In this case, we do not process your personal data.

• Measuring the number of visits to the website, the frequency with which individual pages are viewed and the duration of browsing individual pages, in order to adapt the website to users’ needs and understand their interests.
• Approximate determination of the location of the device used for browsing (region of the country), for the purpose of mapping the geographical distribution of interest in our service.

1. c) Processing for marketing purposes (“Marketing” category in the pop-up window)

 

If you have consented to the use of browsing data for marketing purposes (by selecting “Marketing”), we may display targeted advertisements to you while you browse the internet.

 

When displaying targeted advertisements, we can use Google and Facebook tools to display our own advertisements on your device; at the same time, Google and Facebook also use the data required for this purpose for their own purposes, including displaying advertisements of third parties. Such advertisements are displayed on the basis of interests inferred from your browsing habits.

 

In this context, Google Ireland Ltd. (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) and Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. (Facebook – Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland) determine the interests that can be inferred from browsing habits on the relevant browser by linking browsing-habit data with your browser identifier, and then deliver targeted advertisements to that device. Accordingly, the data are not recorded as linked directly to you personally, but to the device used for browsing, primarily your browser.

 

Google Ireland Ltd. and Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. do not have access to any other data referred to in this notice beyond the data described in this section.

 

• Retention period: some data are processed for the duration of browsing, while certain data are stored by cookies for varying periods, but for no longer than two years.

 

The data necessary to ensure the user-friendly operation of the website (IP address and the order of pages visited on the website during browsing) are recorded for the duration of the browsing session (i.e. the period during which the website is browsed) and are deleted when the session ends or, at the latest, after two hours. We process such data using our own IT systems; no third party has access to them.

 

We conduct visitor analytics by collecting anonymous data and therefore do not process personal data in this context.

 

Data serving as the basis for mapping habits relating to the use of the website are stored for no longer than two years. The cookies enabling this are stored on the device you use for browsing. You may delete these cookies or prevent them from operating at any time through your browser settings and by disabling the “Marketing” categories in the window that can be opened by clicking “Cookie Settings” at the bottom of the website.

8. Log file entries

 

Our IT system associated with the hosting service used to operate our website uses electronic log entries. The log entries store the IP address, the type of browser used by the visitor, the internet service provider, the date/time stamp, the addresses of referring and exit pages, and the number of clicks during the visit. This is done so that we can properly display our website on your device and, in the event of an operational error, trace the circumstances of the error, thereby making browsing more stable and secure where necessary. It also enables us to manage and administer the website. The data do not directly permit identification of the individual and are stored for 30 days.

 

The processing carried out through log files is otherwise subject to the circumstances described in Section 3, except that no recording or use of data from log files takes place for visitor analytics or marketing purposes.

 

9. Third-party cookies

 

Third-party cookies do not originate from the Controller or from the server hosting the Website. These cookies are also stored by your computer, telephone or tablet when you visit the page.

 

Processing by external service providers

 

The HTML code of the portal contains links originating from and pointing to external servers independent of the Controller. The external service provider’s server communicates directly with the user’s computer. We draw our visitors’ attention to the fact that the providers of such links may collect user data because they establish a direct connection from their servers and communicate directly with the user’s browser.
